Measurement of bucket wheel excavators` superstructure and checking of baricenter positions is one of the fundamental postulates within the control of static stability and dynamic behaviour of superstructure. Review of the measurements and baricenter position of superstructure has been given through the example of bucket wheel excavator KRUPP SchRs 1760. For the same machine an appropriate dynamical model has been formed in order to enable analysis of balance mass influence on dynamical behaviour of superstructure construction. System response has been determined for ten different balance masses. Based on the calculation results it has been deduced that the change of balance mass in domain of absolute measurement error can lead to unwanted dynamical behaviour, in other words it can lead to high tensile structure conditions.
