The works of contemporary Italian composer Azio Corghi is of undoubted interest for the study. His works are performed in the major concert halls in Europe and international festivals, the ёrst nights of his operas took place in the celebrated La Scala in Milan and in other Italian cities, as well as in Germany and Portugal. This paper is aimed at observing a number of musical and theater works from the point of realization in them of one of the leading composer’s ideas, namely rethinking of the past in a spirit of modernity. The author uses the notion of rilleture (repeated readings) and ёnds different ways of this principle realization on the example of A. Corghi’s operas and cantatas.
